welovetoread
Can anyone compare MFW with Hearts of Dakota? Both look like good programs, but I'm torn! I am looking at the MFW K and the little hearts for his glory. Chandi
littleWMN
I'm trying to decide between HOD Preparing and MFW ECC for my 5th grader. Having the same problem! ;) I'm pretty set on MFW 1st for my 1st grader. From what I've read, LHFHG is a little more advanced than MFW K. I could be wrong on this. I've used MFW K before but not LHFHG. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
Edwena
I have never MFW, and this is my first year using HOD. We love it!!! You can read a post here that compares MFW and HOD. I thought it was interesting. HTH!

fenni
LHFHG can be used for kindergarten, but it depends on the child. Some find their children aren't ready for the readings. Some just go with it and let their children grow into the readings. I would suggest using MFW K followed by LHFHG if you have the time. :) I have used MFW K and am currently using LHFHG. BTW, I'm in WI, too, and would be happy to show you both programs if we are anywhere near each other! I have 4 boys, 1 girl, and expecting in May. Homebirther, too. Funny to see the similarities.
