sheryl
My dh and I stayed up late Friday and ushered in Christmas morning. We went to bed around 12:15 am Christmas morning. Around 5:30 am I was in the bathroom. I thought that was a one time occurrence. No, that was not the case. I entered the bathroom from around 6 am - 2pm with 12 episodes of complete upheaval. I'll stop there, but you get the picture. I had not experienced anything like that ever. So, my dh nursed me, cleaned me up again and again, brought me ice, water, checked on me, took care of dd and pets, etc. every 20 minutes or so. Forgot to add: my dh called the doctor and on-call nurse called back. She suggested that if I didn't improve in a great way immediately to take me to the emergency room. I was getting dressed to go to the er, but thought "one more try". Afterwards, I improved! My dd came in covering her mouth (I told her not to come in), but it was Christmas and she wanted her mother up! While I was sleeping, unbeknowenest to me she deposited her almost 2 month old DW balloon to cheer me up. HOW SWEET! Forgot to add this too: my dd did end up sick, but she only threw up 4 times....today, Monday. So thankful it wasn't worse. She's now showered and ready for bed early. She bounced back quickly as well. Thanking God!! I'm not complaining b/c the little bit I was awake I was thinking of God and how loving He is to even offer a "plan of redemption" for mankind. I was, am and forever will be grateful for Jesus' birth. He didn't "have" to offer us His Son as a "Gift", but He did so out of Love for you and me! So, I was blessed on Christmas Day and will continue to be as a.... Follower of Christ, Sheryl PS...Just for the record, I wish I wasn't sick, but all is well! :D Edited December 28, 2010 by sheryl
Blueridge
:grouphug: Glad you're better! There have been times of blessing through illness around here, too. Very special times that show the strength and kindness of a person.
