Miss Marple
While driving home from Christmas shopping last night the conversation turned to a movie he had watched in his biology class. It showed a human birth. After commenting on the horror of all the bodily fluids (he does have slight OCD issues ;)) he said, "Humans would be so much better off if they just laid eggs." Anyone have a young lady who does not want her husband to be in the birthing room? I have a fella here for her  Edited December 11, 2010 by CynthiaOK
Jane in NC
Anyone have a young lady who does not want her husband to be in the birthing room? I have a fella here for her  This reminded me of the previously mentioned WTM Matchmaking service (Kareni's side job now that her daughter is in college ;)). The motto is: It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single person in possession of a Well Trained Mind, must be in want of a similarly Well Educated companion. asta
This reminded me of the previously mentioned WTM Matchmaking service (Kareni's side job now that her daughter is in college ;)). You know, I've noticed that we have a particularly attractive group of kids on this board... that could be a good thing! a

elegantlion
I can see it now - the ad "find WTM singles in your area" :D :lol::lol: I see so many photos of classrooms in the dining room. I figure if my ds marries another homeschooler it would be fun to watch them house hunt together. They will walk in, spy a formal dining room with the chandelier hanging, and state there is already a built-in classroom.:lol:

If your son can figure out an egg laying process, I may have just the young woman for him. (Oh, wait, I think I already promised her to Jane in NC's son. Details, details.) My oldest son's girlfriend had just finished an anatomy & physiology course for pre-pharmacy when she commented to me, "Have you seen the cervix of a woman who just gave birth? I don't think I ever want to have kids if my cervix is going to look like that!":lol::lol:
Lucy in Australia
Lol! I've given birth three times and I think egg-laying sounds like a great idea  Your poor son... There are things some guys should not see until absolutely necessary ;) And I think the WTM Matchmaking service sounds like a great idea. Of course, half of you would need to emigrate to Australia to really make it work but still... :D

April in CA
Thanks for sharing, Cynthia! I have often thought that birth would be much easier if babies came out flat and then could be inflated via the umbilical cord! That always sounded less painful. :D Blessings, April
