Corraleno
what is a TED talk? I'm copying my post from the General Board thread on TED: TED is a nonprofit that sponsors annual conferences in the US and UK which "bring together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes)." TED originally stood for Technology/Entertainment/Design, although the conferences actually cover a lot more than that. The talks are broadcast on the TED website as well as youtube. Previous speakers have included Malcolm Gladwell, Bill Gates, Sergei Brin, and lots of interesting artists, scientists, thinkers, entrepreneurs, etc. Homeschoolers would be most familiar with TED because of the talks on education by Sir Ken Robinson, which you may have seen: Do Schools Kill Creativity? Bring on the Learning Revolution It's a great website to just poke around on and listen to interesting people talk about fascinating and often unusual topics.
