Tani
textbook, tests, solutions, etc? We are using Saxon but dd is frustrated and so am I with what we are finding to be the wrong answers to problems. She also wants to understand the whys more. We used Lials before and she loved it, I just happened to have the Saxon on hand so used it to save money. :tongue_smilie: Just goes to show if it ain't broke, don't fix it! :001_smile: Thanks. Edited: I just found the thread in search and I pm's Jann in Tx about this. If you still want to reply, that would be just dandy! Thanks Everyone. MommyThrice
The text we use is ISBN 0-321-27921-2 And I prefer the Annotated Instructor's Edition over the Solutions Manual for grading. It doesn't show all the steps like Solutions does, but it's easier to find the answers. I still don't understand why, but the AIE's don't have ISBN #s. Jann in TX
I use the TE when I teach--so I have easy access to the answers as I often use the unassigned even problems for my teaching examples. The isbn for the TE is located in the first pages of the text--NOT on the back cover. ISBN for Introductory Algebra 8e TE is: 0321285859 Intermediate Algebra 8e TE is 0321285727 The TE is often listed with the student texts-- you need to read descriptions CAREFULLY. Many community college students prefer the TE-- to have access to more practice problems. Cheating is not an issue as these courses do not count for actual college credit--they are remedial (high school).
