redsquirrel
Lol, both of those! I think my son also liked one by the woman who wrote the Magic Tree House books. It wasn't a book for little ones though. It was a retelling of norse myths. But D'aulaire is our fave.

catz
d'Aulaire's Book of Norse Myths Love the D'Aulaire's Norse and Greek myths over here. They come out again and again.
mcconnellboys
Yeah, we like D'Aulaires (simpler) and Green (more complex). Bernard Evslin has some books that cover Norse mythology. D'Aulaires has a book of Trolls, too.... East o' the Sun and West o' the Moon, Asbjornsen, are Scandinavian tales.... The White Stag, Seredy, is Hungarian.... Here's Colum's Children of Odin, online: http://www.mainlesson.com/display.php?author=colum&book=odin&story=_contents
