Susie in CA
My ds11 expressed interest in learning the binary system. I'd like to get some material for him. Any ideas? Susie
Brenda in FL
Socratic method I don't have any resources for you. But did you see this discussion a few weeks back? Maybe you could recreate the discussion that the author of the article had with his students.
scrapbabe
Binary Numbers (Young Math Book) How to Count Like a Martian I bought both of these books used... but now they are astronomically priced. Does your library have them maybe? Here's a list of books based on number base http://www.livingmath.net/ReaderLists/PlaceValueNumberBases/tabid/458/language/en-US/Default.aspx The Story of 1 and Warlords Beads are really good.
