Links to some helpful logic stage threads

Recommended Posts

These are some threads that I have found to be helpful:

High School Parents--looking back what would your ideal be for 7th/8th grade?

To all you people with 8th graders (or there abouts)...

Teaching academic and organizational skills to your logic stage student

DIY chemistry course for logic stage children?

Who else has an 8th grader and is making a high school plan?...

Sadly, I didn't figure out about subscribing to my favorite threads until about a year into being on the forums. So I would also suggest off the top of my head, looking up the following posters and perusing their thread topics:

Lori D. - for wonderful literature and literary recommendations

mcconnellboys - great lists of history and literature resources

Colleen in NH - SWB translator extraordinaire - IMO, Colleen is excellent at explaining how to put SWB's recommendations into actual practice. Colleen also asks many good questions and her threads are sure to draw thoughtful and helpful responses. Also, if anyone can put a good list of links up here, it's Colleen.

8filltheheart and Ester Maria offer a wealth of information in many subjects. They are also known for their high standards. When I am slacking off because I'm tired, uninspired, unmotivated, and just plain whiney (or was that wining?;)) I'll often look to their threads for a reminder of where I am going and what I am doing, why I am doing it, and how I can do it better.

Corraleno and KarenAnne - again help in many subjects, but they really shine in science and thinking outside the box.

I know the minute I send this that I will think of others. Also, these are only my opinions so take it for that, please. I know that using the search function doesn't always yield what you are looking for and I often find it helpful to check out certain posters' past threads.
