Andie
I thought the underwire had popped out, but no, it was a teeny Star Wars blaster. It is my favorite booKshelf, so I'm quite pleased. #2 Dh is back in town for the weekend early. #3 The sun is out again - FINALLY! So, how about you? What three little things are you thankful for today?

DKinTX
I'm so confused...I know what you mean by bookshelf, but a gun in your bra? Huh? LOL! I'm thankful for the rainy cold weather, that my husband got paid today (boy last week was TIGHT), and just for the gift of being with my children. Thanks for asking! :)
sdWTMer
Oh my goodness. People around here are being so funny today! I'm getting plenty of laughs. I'm sure that PariSarah is glad that she didn't have coffee or some other beverage there at the library! ;)
Pam "SFSOM" in TN
So, how about you? What three little things are you thankful for today? Nothing so dramatic as a blaster ray in my booKshelf, but... 1) I was able to change my Friday class to Monday, so not only do I have Friday OFF -- hoorah!! -- but I also don't have That Teacher for peds. Oh, the joy. You cannot imagine. 2) I slept IN this morning. Bliss. 3) The 4 y/o is turning a corner, behavior-wise. It could be because I've put my foot down and eliminated store-bought milk from her diet. Either way, it's delight.
Mom2legomaniacs
ROFL! I have to hold my breath! I am in the room with the kids while they are taking their piano lesson and must be quiet. THis is hard to do! That is hilarious! I can totally envision it happening around here.:D
sdWTMer
Man, I wish I had saved some rep for this post! Just your subject line alone was worth 10 points. I gave her some for the both of us! How funny! :D Forgot to add: 1: That my parents are adjusting to their new way of life. Dad is a diabetic and is fighting like anything to save his foot from a diabetic ulcer. 2: That my dh is making some real improvements in his life which makes our marriage life easier. 3: My boys are healthy! JudoMom
It's the little things, eh, Andie? I imagine you made someone's day when you returned the gun to it's rightful owner. Let's see: 1. I'm grateful that ds3 will be turning 4 on Monday and that while he is still loud, persistent, and passionate he has proven to be a somewhat trainable monkey. 2. I'm grateful that my ds8 thinks "I'm the best mom he could ever have",and that he's capable of writing this down legibly and with almost perfect spelling in a note so I can save it. 3. Let's face it. Right now I'm really thankful for coffee and Oreos (and my hips are happy the Oreos are almost gone).

I'm so thankful he has a heart for the kids. . . . . Thanks for reminding me to be grateful :)
Just Me
1. I am thankful that I "officially" finished at the old house last night, so I shouldn't have to go over there until this spring, when we go to clean out the sheds. 2. Dh started his first day of classes yesterday. This is his last semester, so in four months, I will have a hubby again!!! 3. I am thankful for this board, and the folks here that give great advice!! 4. I am thankful for the washer and dryer that we finally got yesterday. I can't believe how long we went without washing cloths. Needless to say, Dh and I were down to our last pair of unmentionables! 5. Dave Ramsey! PinkTulip
1. The sun is out today for the first time in over 2 weeks AND, it's like 25 degrees today! (we've been in the teens or lower for about 3 weeks) 2. Grateful for an internal medicine doc who understands how desperate I am to rid myself of this horrendous sinus infection, and prescribed me antibiotics (maybe I'll actually even sleep tonight!) j.griff
I am glad you found the gun too, LOL. Also thankful for: We're having something like real weather here this weekend, today it's nice and windy. I just sold a double jogger we didn't need, yay Craigslist Our taxes are done and our return should be nice. Honey is off today and the rest of the weekend. We are moving this year. The kids are playing quietly right now.
Doran
Hey, Andie? Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?:D I'm grateful for laughter - belly-deep, authentic, laughter. I'm grateful for hard working animal doctors who cure sick kitties. And, I'm grateful for Chinese food leftovers. "Hey, kids???? Dinner's ready!!" Jenn in Mo
:D (1) Coffee :) (2) Children :p (3) My board homies  Peace out. What she said. The Coffee.....because I'm tired and though I was planning on cutting back on caffeine, extenuating circumstances made this an especially hard day and I was able to stand triumphant thanks to a combination of God and the beautiful bean He created. My Children....because they are incredible and I am so privileged to stay home and learn with them. And today, for their friends. Their wonderful friends that God brought into our path. My homies....because I didn't have to blink twice to wonder how a plastic gun got in Andie's bra. There are a million possibilities. Us moms know. The horror of losing an underwire in a favorite bra? I'm with ya sister. And because posts like these (by my homeschoolin' homies) reminds me that God is good and life is awesome....even when I'm tired of vomit in my carpet. I was planning on going out for a girls' night dinner and movie. But dh is sick and I am home instead. Thank you for the reminder that this is a great place to be and hey, I can still have a girls' night. It'll just be with my imaginary friends instead. Daisy
That was TOO funny. :D I am thankful 1. TGIF 2. DH is on his way home and he is stopping to get me an iced latte. 3. OnTheBrink
1) I'm so incredibly blessed by and thankful for the circle of friends who care and look out for me. 2) I'm grateful for Consumer Reports, which is helping me figure out which car, stove and refrigerator to buy. LOL 3) I'm grateful for my home, which is truly a gift from God.

Krista in LA
I read that and thought, I don't think I could pack a gun in my bra, how'd she "find" one there? And then I had to explain it to dh who was sitting next to me when I read it. Sigh. He thinks this whole board is crazy.
Amy in Orlando
I read that and thought, I don't think I could pack a gun in my bra, how'd she "find" one there? And then I had to explain it to dh who was sitting next to me when I read it. Sigh. He thinks this whole board is crazy. :D I thought the exact same thing, Krista. And I even tried to explain why it was funny to dh. :::sigh:::: Today I am grateful for the hour alone, reading in the car while ds had his piano lesson. I sat with the windows open, a cool breeze blowing, a Diet Coke(from Sonic - with the good ice) Ahhhh ... silence. It is a good thing. :)

Andie
..., a Diet Coke(from Sonic - with the good ice) Ahhhh ... silence. Andie
This is fun. And we're a blessed bunch, I think, huh? For the record, I have no idea. I had some confiscated toys stashed in my booKshelf drawer a few months back, but no Star Wars people. I'm guessing it fell out of my son's pocket in the wash and attached there? I air dried the bra and took it off the rack to wear. The mysteries of motherhood.
Liz CA
1. Funny posts like yours - it's been years I had Star War paraphernalia in/on my bookshelf 2. Nice winter weather - I love the cooler months 3. Hot chocolate and a hot woodstove 4. Wood in the woodshed and still a little money left in the checking account 5. I have finally figured out this board so I can read and reply to a few posts Ohhh, only three, huh? Sorry, overshot the mark a bit. :)
