Costs around $15 This is the calculator I suggest for my Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry students... Kathy in Richmond Posted October 5, 2010 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Even though my kids owned and could use graphing calculators, they preferred the simpler TI 34ii model for PSAT testing (easier to get a quick answer; nothing fancier was needed). Gwen in VA Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 We're an HP family, so my kids use the HP15C for any standardized tests they take before 10th grade and the HP 50g for standardized tests they take after that point. Unless your crazy about reverse Polish notation, I don't recommend this route! :tongue_smilie: My big big big piece of advice -- the best calculator for a kid during a standardized test is the calculator they are most comfortable using.
