What calculator did your dc use on the PSAT?

my dd used the TI-30Xii on the PSAT and the SAT. Costs around $15

 

This is the calculator I suggest for my Algebra 1, 2 and Geometry students... I do not teach the graphing calculator until Pre-Calc--and even then I require that students know how to work all problems manually.

We're an HP family, so my kids use the HP15C for any standardized tests they take before 10th grade and the HP 50g for standardized tests they take after that point.

 

Unless your crazy about reverse Polish notation, I don't recommend this route! :tongue_smilie:

 

My big big big piece of advice -- the best calculator for a kid during a standardized test is the calculator they are most comfortable using. Do not hand a kid a new calculator a week before a standardized test!
