Chris in PA
My dd (senior) wants to write a research paper on Hitler and his hatred/treatment of Jews. I have no idea where to start with helping her find good resources for this topic. Does anyone have some books they can recommend to get us started? I am totally surprised because this is the dc who has always disliked history. Thanks!
Susan C.
Marrin's Hitler is very good. Stalin is as well. I got them from Beautiful Feet. Their website is: bfbooks.com

8filltheheart
Teaching Company, Hitler's Empire :iagree: Excellent lecture series. Also, The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by Shirer http://www.amazon.com/Rise-Fall-Third-Reich-History/dp/0671728687/ref=pd_sim_b_1
Michelle in MO
John Toland's biography of Hitler might be a good place to start, simply entitled Adolf Hitler. Because there is so much information on this topic, and because his treatment of the Jews was so multi-faceted, I would recommend having her read this first and then narrowing her topic. It's possible to do a broad overview, but I think a narrower focus would be easier to handle.
