Fiber supplements --

I struggle with getting the fruit/vegetable servings I need. It's an uphill battle. So, in the meantime, which of those fiber supplements is safest for long-term use? I've used Metamucil in the past, but once tried the unsweetened and it was unbearable. I'd prefer to avoid artificial colors and sweeteners. Are the capsules as natural/effective? Seems like there are a lot of new choices . . .
