Pretty in Pink
My ds has to drop band this semester and I'm looking for other social outlets for him. There aren't any playmates in our current neighborhood. He's a fair swimmer (better than me) and has enjoyed swim lessons over the years, but he balked at the suggestion of trying out the swim team. Gymnastics is out of our price range, and there are no classes for boys his age at our local studio anyway. He'll be taking guitar lessons (probably once per week, I guess) but that isn't really a social opportunity unless he introduces himself to another boy in between lessons (which I don't foresee, as ds is a bit tentative about introductions and small talk). I am trying to talk him into 4-H, though I don't know the logistics of our local group yet. I'm getting more info. He's not very interested in competitive soccer or baseball. Suggestions? I'm fresh out of ideas.
