JFSinIL Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 For an official transcript, I would think it ok to make up a name (I use Our Last Name School or Our Street Name School) as long as you are also indicating it is a home school. Otherwise someone might wonder why they can not google and find the school (or, worse - google and FIND a school with that name - and they of course have no record of your kid!). In CA we file a private school affidavit and we have to name our school. If I was you I would choose a name and keep it and then use that. I don't think I would just put "homeschool." DollyM Posted April 12, 2008 Share Posted April 12, 2008 subbing our actual last name for "lastname" - obviously. ;o) We had never come up with anything specific, never used an official name or anything like that - but I figured no body could quibble with "Smith Family Home School" since that's who/what we were. I hadn't thought about the Google consequences - I just tried it and found there is one in Pennsylvania AND a curricula provider (virtual school? not sure).
