Canada_Mom
Sometimes I just plain forget to snack... or even to give the kids a snack! :o We just get busy! But what we don't eat in snacks, we make up for in big meals!
Stirsmommy
I eat when I am hungry and generally graze my way through the day. My kids do better with frequent feedings too. Melissa
Jennifer in MI
Depends on who you are asking. ME? Nope. If I snack I'd open a bag of chips and eat the whole darn thing. I've chosen not to snack (well, except for the occasional carrot or celery stick). The kids? Yep. We eat a huge breakfast of eggs, toast, biscuits, and oatmeal. As a snack, I'll offer yogurt and all fruit jelly or a piece of fruit. Lunch is usually leftovers. Then, I'll plan one snack in the afternoon - pb and j, or something like that. If the kids are hungry in between, they get fruit. Dinner is a normal dinner with lots of veggies. After dinner they can have fruit.
AudreyTN
I eat all day long ... I know it's bad... I just can't help it :D
Crissy
I have to qualify my Yes vote. I don't eat in the morning, but I graze from about noon until dinner time. Just one Loooooong snack.:D
sdWTMer
I just cannot go throughout the day w/o a snack! I'm worse than my kiddos, sometimes anyway. :D
Robyn
Ha! I snack too much. The kids seem to really need a snack between dinner and lunch to get them through the day. Otherwise, everyone gets cranky.
Jenny in Atl
Ditto, more in the afternoon. We try to keep them protein/veggies (nuts, cheese, carrots, and such).
Mrs Mungo
Yes, we definitely snack! Snacks usually include: yogurt with granola cottage cheese and fruit granola bars cheese and crackers popcorn Like Jennifer in MI I can't buy potato chips because I will eat them *all*. Lisa in SC
I didn't know how to answer the poll because the answer is technically "both." I don't snack, but my children definitely do. :) Lisa
Sharon H in IL
If my blood sugar level takes a dive, so do I. Not good. I aim for a steady-state, so meals always include high-quality protein and a whole grain. In the summer I frequently make a frozen banana-yogurt-milk-vanilla extract smoothie. In winter it varies as the wind. But I'll never go back to the days of artificially-set eating times that don't mesh with my body's rhythms. LoriM
I eat all the time. ALL. THE. TIME. Usually I have an open bag of baby carrots by my elbow, or a box of grape tomatoes, or a tangerine. Sometimes it's a tablespoon of peanut butter with wheat thins or a cup of cottage cheese. Then lunch is a gigantic salad that takes me an hour to eat. It's when I *stop* eating like this that I gain weight.
GreenKitty
I am noticing by the results so far that I am the normal one!! Great! Because I eat all day long! Snackin on this and that. It is very hard for me to sit down to eat a meal.

Tutor
We usually have a large-ish breakfast (sometimes I don' t eat because if I eat too soon after waking I get sick) and a large lupper. Everything else is healthy (and some not so healthy) snacking.
WTMindy
My dh NEVER snacks. I really hate that about him!;)
MomofSeven
Yes, we have very structured snacktime, 10am and 3 pm.. Sometimes I participate sometimes I just wait till the next meal. But our snacks are healthy - apples, smoothies, hummus, etc. This is one of the reasons I love homeschooling. If my kids were in school, they'd still snack but they wouldn't be nearly as healthy. Sophia
Y'know, I never snacked until I had children. They seem to be hungry all day long, and it's just so easy to reach over and help myself to what they're having...
Herding Cats in NC
Yes, I snack too. If I don't, I get really hungry and tend to overeat.
Audrey
I don't. I have food issues and snacking doesn't help.

ArwenA
I don't think I'd be writing this if I didn't snack!! I don't know how people go without snacks, hence, we have them here.
