momteaches2
Do your children read the 'shorter works anthology' and 'government' info off the CD or do you print it out? What about the poetics and frameworks info? Thanks in advance as I try to get this year planned out before we start back to school in 2 weeks! KnitWit
It is A LOT to print. My dd just read it all off the cd-rom.
1bassoon
My dd HATES reading off the computer - She printed most of the government, except for a few of the longer ones. She didn't have Shorter Works (this was for Year 2, last year), and a friend had already printed out Poetics. My rising 9th grader will have to read them on the computer - Unless he wants to pay me for the ink! ;)
momofkhm
I printed them out for her last year and will print them out again this year (yr 4) and any other years. I just don't want her on the computer that much, especially since we are down to one for me and the kids. (The kids used to have a trickle down laptop for email and games.) BUT I also save all these printed things for the next 2 to use.
ChemMommy
The government reading wasn't so much that reading on-line was a problem. I'm planning on having them read the Shorter Works Anthology on the computer, too. But, I'm concerned because I suspect that there is more reading for this and now, I'll have two working on the R level. Last year, I printed Poetics and Framework for them. I hear that for year 3, P&F is even longer. I haven't decided what to do! It's on my "things to research list": determine if P&F is different each year or not. I agree that it is a PAIN to read it off the computer! And we will be a one-computer family this fall, too.
