Independent Learning

Recommended Posts

I am trying to help a group of Russian families find high school level homeschooling curriculum. The parents do not speak fluent English, but their kids have been in PS up until now and I assume they are fluent. They have very large families, so not a lot of time. They are Christian, and they do not have a lot of money.

What would be some choices for me to offer them? I am thinking independent type things, and cheap internet options.

What would be some good choices for a once a week co-op they could do together?

Thanks so much if you have any ideas!

I wonder Christian Light would be a good choice? It is a curriculum that can be mostly done independently and it is not very expensive. It is also a Christian curriculum.

Here is their site: http://www.clp.org/christian_light_education

Also, School of Tomorrow can be done independently. I do not care for it as much as Christian Light, but it is a good curriculum for doing independently and it is not very expensive either: http://www.aceministries.com/

Also, Rod and Staff has some Christian books in Russian that they may like: http://www.rodandstaffbooks.com/list/Russian_Books/

I hope this helps. If you want to ask any questions about either of the curricula, just let me know and I'll help if I can.
