MamaAkins
Next year, I am lightening our grammar/language arts load for our 8th grader as she has demonstrated that she is extremely proficient in those areas. She will focus more of her time on literature and writing. She will also be doing the Latin Road to English Grammar. She has completed Wordly Wise books for each of the past 4 years. Would you continue with Wordly Wise vocabulary books or can you suggest something else that would prepare her for high school/SAT/college? Thanks! AHASRADA
We are using "Coffin's Patch", a novel offered by the same company that sells "Vocabulary Cartoons". It is full of SAT vocab. words that kids learn through the story. They have other novels also, as well as SAT vocab. cartoon books. Check them out: http://www.vocabularycartoons.com/home/categories/Books/
homeschoolally
We're using Caesars English I and II--and loving it. I think it would be a great fit for your situation.
tampamommy
Vocabulary from the Classical Roots, books A, B, C, D and E. There are 16 lessons per book. Sounds like she could handle two books per year.
