We've been assuming both dc are excellent readers, but I recently had reason to wonder if we should at least screen ds for slow reading speed. Teachin'Mine Posted June 19, 2010 Share Posted June 19, 2010 I've been a slower reader my whole life. I wish I had done something to learn to speed up years ago. I know I'm faster now as I do a lot more of it than I did years ago. Slow reading bogs you down in standardized tests and makes all the text reading and book reading take so much more time than it should.
