Anyone have a good recommendation for on-line Spanish course?

This is for ds16 who needs beginning Spanish. Just took FLVS Spanish 1 and although he got an A, I think it was useless.

 

I don't care for courses that go into the cultures. I have looked at the Potters School (goes into cultures, etc) and have scheduling conflict with Veritas.

 

I just care for language instruction.

 

We have scheduling conflicts with cc.

 

I welcome your recommendations.

I was going to suggest FLVS. My friend used it and loved it.

FLVS and Unitedstreaming Spanish. Both are excellent. We use FLVS for during the year and during the summer we do the Unitedstreaming Spanish. Between the both of them I think we're getting a good coverage of the language. US Spanish has gone a long way to review some of the important concepts.

I'm on a yahoo loop for homeschooling high schoolers. The Spanish program at OK State U gets good reviews by those who have used it. I have no experience with it; just passing along info.

apexlearning.com has a great Spanish class. My dd definitely learned more in that one than Powerglide w/K12.

I have no idea if it meets your qualifications as far as cultures etc., but La Clase Divertida just started an online high school Spanish course this year. I was going to attend as an observer but didn't get around to it. It only happens after school, though, because the teacher is teaching at a school during the earlier hours.
