K-FL
We've used Bigwords for buying & selling. It's a search engine, but it's worked for us. Be sure & get the ISBN. One of #1's roomies didn't/couldn't sell 3 of her books so gave them to dd to deal with. She made about $50 for something she had no out-lay on. jillian
amazon has buyback/resell now so you can get used books check a local college bookstore and see what they have (sometimes they still have a couple years previous editions) http://www.abebooks.com (lots of older editions)
angela in ohio
We just use Amazon. I've had a lot of luck finding books there that are less than other places I see elsewhere online. And whenever I use a serch engine, it always lists them as the lowest. I just started going there for everything. We just finished cleaning out dh's books from grad school, and I made $275 this week selling them on Amazon, too. :D:D:D They have a new trade-in feature that sometimes gives just as much money as selling them yourself. Chris in VA
http://www.cheapbooks.com According to ds, a rising Sophmore in college, this is the best deal around. Make sure you have the actual isbn from the book your prof wants you to use.
Hannah C.
Try Half Price or Amazon. These are the two I've actually used. If you need a specific book for a specific college course, these two are harder to use. College bookstores usually charge more than other places. I've had friends who have used some of the sites others have mentioned with success.
cocoabean
Well, I don't think ebay was mentioned. And then there are the Goodwill stores. They occasionally get used college texts on donation. HTH!
