PentecostalMom
Our local church is putting together a ceremony honoring the graduates and have asked me to put together a graduation tri-board and to decorate a table for him. I am not crafty in any way and need some ideas...FAST! It is to be displayed during tonight's service. If anyone has links, pictures, anything that will help....ideas, suggestions....I would appreciate it! Thanks! :bigear:
MGK
The seniors in our local homeschool group do this every year. They use the tri-fold "science fair" boards. Cover the board with pictures that show your homeschool journey - The pictures would show your senior's unique personality and interests: could be extra curricular activities, hobbies, vacations, etc. Some of the seniors had one picture to represent each year of school. For the table, some of the seniors brought musical instruments, trophies, awards, and projects they had completed. You could consider covering the table with a swath of fabric to tie it all together. Some of the seniors included a bowl of a favorite candy or gum to share and a book for guests to write a personal message. One afternoon's notice doesn't give you much time. Best Wishes to you! Teachin'Mine
I've never seen this done, so this may be out in left field, but it might be nice for your son to have something to remember the people at the church. Might be fun to take a plain T-shirt - put a piece of cardboard inside - and put some fabric markers there for people to write whatever they like. On the board you could also put a brochure of the college he'll be attending or something related to his summer plans. Pictures showing him through the years would be nice. If you don't have time to make large prints, maybe an album or two could work.
Kareni
Our daughter put her college acceptance letter on her board. She also included artwork, newspaper articles, and photos from childhood to date. Regards, Kareni
PentecostalMom
Thanks so much for the help! It turned out fine! Mine wasn't the best presentation, but not nearly the worst. Just somewhere in the middle and that is fine with me! Blessings!
