momee
Thanks for your feedback on my meal planning crisis post :) I was wondering how you feel you're doing in the healthy meal choices dept. Seems when I just shop at Sam's (40 min away), I end up with a lot of meat, produce that we eat fresh, like celery, fruits, etc. I then have to plan that stuff into a meal and end up with stuff like meat, starch and veggie type meals. I don't end up having a good balance of whole grain choices, like say tabouleh or rice pilaf or something, kwim? I was just hoping for dialogue on the topic of wholesale club shopping and meal planning from there. Any thoughts?
simka2
I get what you are saying :) I buy organic baby spinach there every week and my kids have a spinach salad almost daily. I do get a lot of whole grain pasta's. I try to keep food as unprocessed as possible...so between rice, beans, whole oats, meats, spinach, baby carrots, celery, and oranges I think we do pretty good ;) I stir clear of most of the freezer section, candy section, and baked goods!
