rieshy
My rising 11th grade daughter is going to be spending a month living with Swiss friends in the Italian section of Switzerland next summer. She's taken German I and II, which will help, but she needs at least an intro in Italian. We had Rosetta Stone- Spanish which she hated (I know lots of people love it, just not a good match for my analytical daughter) so I don't want to go that route again. Any and all suggestions would be helpful. Btw, I'm not worried about h.s. credit obligations.
Matryoshka
For a self-taught intro, how about Italian Now! and maybe add in an audio course like Pimsleur or something similar? Or if she just wants some basic tourist Italian, maybe just the audio course and a phrase book? B&N or Border's have a fairly good selection of this kind of language resources. Bring her along and see what appeals to her.
Kareni
My daughter benefited from the Pimsleur program before she took a ten day trip to Italy as a high schooler. Regards, Kareni
SharoninTennessee
Hey, Susan, saw the heading and clicked on it thinking I might find an answer to your question. Then I realized it was you asking the question. I've been looking but haven't found anything so far. Sharon
