babysparkler
My in-laws and I took the kids to the Scholastic Warehouse book sale yesterday. While perusing, my 5yo found a book on Ancient Rome that he BEGGED me to buy him :) When we got home, instead of the board games Grandma and Grandpa pulled out to play, they all (inc. my 2yo) crowded around to listen to me read this book to them front to back for over an hour. They even interrupted me often to share other "tid-bits" about the Roman Empire that were not mentioned in the book, or to make comments on the maps/photos. My in-laws sat in amazement:lol:. I love it!

mgl
That reminds me of when we were at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago. Ds (6 yo) came running up to me all excited. He had found The Cat in The Hat written in Latin. He begged for it "for when we learn Latin next year." He told everyone he saw for two days about it. :)
