Chris in PA
Hi all, I may be teaching a public speaking class this fall at our homeschool group. It will be for 9-12 grades. These children have no public speaking experience. Can anyone recommend resources for me to use? TIA
Karenciavo
My son took a debate class at our co-op and they used "An Introduction to Argumentation and Debate." Ignore that above, my brain went right to debate. They also used "Sound Speech" by BJUP. All these materials are by Christian authors, I'm not sure if that matters to you. profmom
Jeannie Fulbright (of Apologia's Elementary Science) has a book called Speak Up! -- http://www.jeanniefulbright.com/products.html . A friend uses this for a co-op class and found additional resources in the back.

Stephanie in FL
My oldest son has used the materials from Communicators for Christ in the past. He also used some workbooks from our local 4H office. These were great materials. My son did not have any public speaking experience and later won the 4H public speaking contest at the local, district and state level.
