ereks mom
For middle school and high school students, my state uses an integrated math program (high school courses are labeled Math 1, Math, 2, Math 3, etc.) instead of the traditional Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 high school math sequence. Would you expect an average math student from such a school to be able to handle Teaching Textbooks Geometry as a 9th grader? I guess what I'm asking is whether that student (having used an integrated program in grades 6-8) could be expected to do TT Geometry before doing TT Algebra 1, or perhaps to be able to skip TT Algebra 1 altogether. Brindee
Without being able to see what they've covered in that program, it's hard to answer. If you want to switch to TT, you can go to their site and try the Placement Tests and see how they do. That's what I'd do to start with.
