Movers arrive in an hour

Recommended Posts

I'm a mess this morning and I am completely and totally mad at myself.

This will be our 8th big move (as in moving states/hours/long distances) in the almost 22 yrs we have been married. I am used to this. More importantly, we have so incredibly blessed by the Lord by how everything has come together......the house selling quickly, our finding a new home, Rebecca being healthy, and our 15 yos calling me in the afternoons HAPPY b/c he loves going to school. My dh starts his new job next week and will be traveling less and his stress level will be dropping incredibly.

So why am I falling to pieces this morning??

Because turning off the computer is the hardest part of moving? ;) Ok, that's what always get me, anyway. lol. Soon you'll be "there" instead of "en route" or "getting ready", and that will feel better. Really, it will. In the meantime, deep breaths, more coffee (or whatever you enjoy - go for comfort this morning!!), and GOOD LUCK!! You'll be there soon!

BTW, I'm so glad to hear about the wonderful things you've got on your plate, too. I know the move itself is stressful, but wow - what wonderful news on the other things with the family. Hopefully, you, too, will soon have something just for *you* to make you smile.

LOL!!! :) Thanks, I needed that. I have actually made arrangements for everything to be disconnected except for cable. :o I am definitely dragging my feet on that one.

Golly, watching these movers lug boxes around is making me tired. Another huge Praise.....Thank you Lord for the corporation providing movers. :)

{{Karen}} Didn't I read on another thread that you are leaving one of your children behind?

Yes. I think that is what is causing me to keep crying today. It is really making me face that he is now an adult and is making his own life. Bitter-sweet moments. He is an amazing young man. But I am sure going to miss him.

Thanks all. I have re-grouped and am being cheerful for my little ones. It is funny to listen to them process what is happening. Our 6 yod is totally confused as to what moving actually means. (last time we moved was on her 2nd birthday) When she saw the moving truck arrive she asked "did we buy a huge truck?":)

Because no matter how good the circumstances are, moving is stressful!

I'll be praying for peace for you, and that everything goes smoothly!

We've moved so many times, big distances, lots of states. You're already doing the best thing--making a list of the good things, and being present for your littles. Try to keep looking down the road at what life will be like once you're settled and enjoying your new home....
