Janie
How do the Classic Starts versions compare to the Great Illustrated Classics? I've never been a big fan of abridged versions, but I do see a limited use as read-alouds read by the student. I can't find a look-inside view for a sample of the Classic Starts, but I have seen Great Illustrateds. And if you can chime in with a comparison or a link for a look-inside, that would be great. Thanks!

Catiejoy
Well it has been awhile since I've looked into the other- but we used Classic Start books recently -Classic Starts, I believe do not have as much text, retain the overall flavor of the story as opposed to a chapter by chapter abridgment (does that make sense?) One thing I do not recall the Illustrated Classics as having were discussion questions? (correct me if I am wrong)
