salinda Posted April 22, 2010 Share Posted April 22, 2010 Does anyone here have any experience with their students taking Biology through Apologia Online Academy? Also, I was wondering about Memoria Press Online-they teach Abeka Biology. Any feedback would be wonderful, positive or negative. skissugar Posted April 22, 2010 Share Posted April 22, 2010 my friends daughter is working through apologia acad. and LOVES it.. there is quite a bit of independent work outside the lectures. I recently purchased the "taped" class of general science from redwagon which is last seasons apologia acad. class.. It is much cheaper and i have to do the grading but once I reviewed it myself it is going to be a great class and if i had the money i would do the online acad. :) just my 2cents. I thought about buying his biology class cds, but thought a live online class might be more enjoyable for my dd. I don't know why deciding on Biology is so hard for me. rockala Posted May 14, 2010 Share Posted May 14, 2010 My dd is in Apologia Biology this year and "LOVES " it. She found her love. We are contiuning with AA next year with their other teachers for Chemistry. Dd is signed up with Rusty Hughes. I like AA better than some other on line classes as you have audio and visual. Veritas has only a chat box you look at and my dd would not do weel in that. I do not know about Memoria. Mr Rosenoff will continue his class with red Wagon on his own. My dd likes him a lot, but some have a hard time with his personality. It is def worth trying a modu;le for the 30 to see if you like him. If you do, he probably still has openings.
