Jann in TX Posted March 9, 2010 Share Posted March 9, 2010 The student text is all you need to start with... Most problems are onl 1-2 steps so the solutions manual will be of little help... Answers to all of the odds are in the back as well as ALL answers to Tests, Chapter Reviews and Cumulative reviews. ALL of the teaching is in the student text. The TE is the student text will all (odd and even) answers filled in next to the problems. The ISBN for the 7th edition student text is 00321257804. Look for a copy that does not have writing inside--as this text is often used as a workbook. You can usually find the TE listed among the student texts--just read the descriptions. I just looked and Amazon.com has a TE listed for $25 under the student texts (I searched under 0321257804)... student texts in 'like new' condition are around $15. If video lessons are needed (I do not suggest using them every day--but only when needed) the DVT isbn is listed on the back of the text. I've loaned out my 7th edition so I don't have the number in front of me. The DVTs for the 8th edition will also work--but you may have to match up some concepts as there is usually a SLIGHT shift in order between editions. Older editions are just fine too.. my dd used the 5th and I have several copies of the 6th as well as the 7th. Cover change is the biggest difference! I think the 8th is the most recent--but the 9th may be out by now. This is a PAPERBACK series--I reinforce the covers with self-laminating sheets (found at office supply stores) and my texts have held up for several years.
