Debbie in OR
What is your latin background? Will this be your first introduction? Your child's? Would you be able to work ahead (at least somewhat) and to help your child if they got stuck? I think if you feel comfortable with latin, you will not need them. We are in our 3rd, going on 4th year with latin and I still feel like I need the help of a teacher who knows what they are doing. So, we own them but haven't used them yet. However, this is because we purchased them at the beginning of last summer and when they still were not released by September, MP gave the option of the online class, which we used. So, from August through December, ds was doing that and now that we are on our own, (so far) we are understanding it well enough that we haven't needed them. Having said all that, I love knowing that we have them in case we run into things that we do not understand.
