choirfarm
Ok, now for my other son in 9th grade doing Chalkdust Geometry. It is looking like he will finish that at the end of this month. So..what should I do? I told him I thought I might have him do math sections from the SAT book 3 or 4 times a week to keep his skills up. Or we could go ahead and start the Chalkdust Algebra I and II combined book. (I was going to have him take the tests at the end of the chapters until he got to one he didn't make an A on. He has already done TT Algebra I and II) I mean, I don't want to punish him for finishing early, but I don't think he should not do any math until we start again in July. Geometry and Chemistry have both gotten easier for him or they have just really clicked as he has made A+ on his exams lately and says it is suddenly easy. Storm Bay
I'd do the Chalkdust combined book if that's what works for you. I'm big on doing Algebra 1 twice regardless of method. I'm letting my freshman dd take a semeter off math, but she did Algebra 1 twice and Geometry and tends to have a mind like a steel trap for Algebra. Also, we're doing most of her courses in semester format.
