gandpsmommy
I haven't made one for a long time, so I don't remember. Is 8 hours on low about right?
MyThreeSons
I haven't made one for a long time, so I don't remember. Is 8 hours on low about right? If you need it done quicker, you can put it on high. It won't hurt any for it to go longer on low, as long as you have some liquid in there. I like to use a can of cream of mushroom soup mixed with a packet of onion soup mix and some water. You can add chunks of potatoes, carrots and onions, too. Granny_Weatherwax
That's what I made for dinner yesterday. It was yummy! I started my roast at 10am and it was ready to go by 5pm. I had put it on high for the first hour, though, as my crock pot is beginning to go on the fritz. Enjoy your roast!
