Love2Smile
I am looking for science next year for my 7th and 10 graders. We want something with lots of fun experiements, however with mainly household items, we don't have a microscope so the ones involving that we'd just look online. Something for non-sciency people, easy to understand, fun, inexpensive, open and go, and like I said hands on. Is Apologia what I am looking for? So I'm looking for a 7th grade level and highschool biology. I am also considering ACE, Lifepacs, and BJU. We have used Abeka in the past and want something else. Apologia keeps coming to mind, yet I've heard it's very advanced
iwka
http://www.ellenjmchenry.com/id25.html We've done The Elements, and it was great.
Teachin'Mine
We're using Apologia Physical Science, and this is the first year my daughter has enjoyed science. :) The experiments involve mostly household items - very doable. I wish I had known about these books years ago! We're planning on doing their biology course next year, but I don't know what to do about the labs - definitely not household items. At this point, thinking about doing DIVE for some of the labs and getting a microscope and prepared slides, etc.. Dissection by DVD sounds good to me! :tongue_smilie:
