melissel
My DD5's fingers are peeling like crazy, and a little bit on her palms. She's always had dry skin on her legs and arms, even as a baby, but this is the first time I've ever seen any real peeling. She has no allergies or sensitivities as far as we know, and we've never had a real need to research (no mood or skin issues etc.), but I guess there's a first time for everything, right? Could this be eczema? If so, now what? TIA!
Strawberry Queen
How much is she drinking? DO you live in a dry climate? I have awful hands in the winter, but then our winters are very dry. We average about 20% humidity. So, my hands are very dry and I have to drink lots of water to keep them nice. When they're really dry they peel and get hairline cracks that bleed. I try and exfoliate and I also put on lotion. HTH

shell in SC
Is she scratching? Eczema is itchy so if she's not scratching that's a good sign. I have dry itchy skin (but not eczema) and my dr. recommended Eucerin Plus or something like that. . .if you're interested in the exact name let me know and I'll get it for you. I think it's working pretty well.
Brenda in FL
Has she had strep recently? My son had peeling hands after having strep with the rash that comes from scarlett fever. I did a google search and learned that peeling hands could be a delayed reaction.
