johnandtinagilbert
There is a thread here on the K-8 board. Can someone who has used this help us out. I'm clueless about the program and trying to find the right fit for my school. Please, please. I need your wisdom. What is your experience? Do you buy 2 levels, or is it one program? I'm unclear. Thank you very much!
Sumiller
I have used this will all three of my children. My youngest ds is currently in the 2nd year of Rainbow. We love it!! It is a two year program which covers physics and chemistry in the first year and then biology and applications (earth/space/weather) in the second year. It is scheduled so that the students read 2 lessons each week and do 1 lab. My kids all love Dr. Dobbins humor and have retained much information from the reading and labs. You will need to purchase the following: Year One Complete set includes student text/Lab book/Teacher's Helper/all Lab supplies Year Two complete set includes everything you need to complete the labs for the biology/applications. FYI, the student text covers both years as does the Teacher's Helper. Here is the website www.beginningspublishing.com Check it out. :) Hope this answers some of your questions. Miss Marple
We love it!! Agree! I've used it with 3 boys and hated to part with it when we finished. Each time I used it, though, we used it in one year. There is an accelerated schedule that you can use if you want to finish in one year. Definitely a hit here.
