Has anyone read Agincourt?

Recommended Posts

oops, the author is Bernard Cornwell

That was my question: Were you referring to Cornwell's novel?

You might like it but I don't know if I would hand the book off to a young high school student. Cornwell's novels have some racy (and vulgar) moments as well as violent scenes that may not be appropriate for all teens. I am a fan of his Sharpe series of novels (set during the Napoleonic wars), but I found that I was bored with this newer series. I think that Cornwell has found a formula and it has weakened his output.

My son has read historical accounts of Agincourt that are far more accurate than the novel.
