creekland Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 There's nothing wrong with keeping your eyes open. Take some time and visit the school too. You can learn a lot with a visit. We briefly considered Bryan when we were looking around, but ended up choosing nearby Covenant and Union to apply to. Covenant has a major my son really wants that many other schools don't have. Union more closely matches our personal Christian beliefs. We didn't come across any 'problems' with Bryan at all - heard good comments from those we talked with that knew about it - just found others that matched us better personally. Miss Marple Posted November 11, 2009 Share Posted November 11, 2009 I have a niece and nephew who are both graduates of Bryan. They speak very highly of the school and its professors. My niece was able to do a semester in Oxford in her senior year. I wish Bryan were closer to us - it would definitely be an option for my sons. The faculty and students have a great reputation in the community, and the graduates I know haven't had any trouble getting jobs. The area is a beautiful and friendly place to live. If you are looking for "big city," you will disappointed. You can get to a decent-sized city within 30 minutes, while Atlanta and Nashville are about 3 hours away.
