I started looking into this and even though it is a large college, I am thinking of having my dd do a summer program there. She is a junior this year and we want to have her do one at a college. However, some of the other schools she is considering cost significantly more for those. Alabama has a honors summer program that only requires a 25 on the ACT. I think she will be able to do that. momofgals Posted November 6, 2009 Share Posted November 6, 2009 I used to live in Alabama, and a friend of mine (Alabama alum) was recently telling me that the University has put a lot of effort into the Honors College in an attempt to raise the academic level of the school. I don't know anyone who has yet participated in the program, so I don't know whether it is living up to the advertising.
