Halftime Hope
anyone have any suggestions? I'd even do a movie, if push came to shove. I think this is one time period that would be much more meaningful in multimedia, with photos and pamphlets, especialy. TIA!
Rebecca VA
Oh, there are so many! If you look through the titles in PBS's "American Experience" lineup (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/), you will be able to choose from documentaries about different inventors, businessmen, and types of industry. (At the top of the American Experience webpage, press "Browse All Films." On the page that comes up, on the left-hand side under "Era," press "The Growth of Industry, 1860-1910.") One absolutely wonderful documentary (though a long one) is Queen Victoria's Empire (also by PBS). It spends a great deal of time discussing the Industrial Revolution in Britain.
