Luanne
... besides me? I don't know why, but I just find all aspects of education fascinating. :001_smile: (Maybe that is why I enjoy homeschooling my daughter as well as educating myself so much). Sara R
I've loved teaching/tutoring since I started helping in the kindergarten classroom when I was in 5th grade. I went to ed school, and found that I disagreed with a lot of the philosophies taught in there. That's what attracted me to homeschooling, before I became a parent. Karla in Oregon
Yes, I am fascinated by education in general. If I won the big lottery, I would fund education research. The most recent books I have read on education are: "Liberating Learning" by Terry Moe and "Disrupting Class" by Clayton M. Christensen. Both very interesting, books and actually optimistic about the future of education - but distinctly un-classical. :) Karla
Michelle in MO
If I won the lottery, I would start a classical Christian school. Yes, I am interested in education in general, especially classical education in all its forms. It's a topic that I read about quite a bit. HSHS
I'm interested in it too, but my DD has probably read more books on it than me. She's thinking about majoring in elementary education so she loves reading about it. :D She knows everything about TWTM too and agrees with that philosophy above most others and she'd definately be starting a classical school too if she had the money. EKS
Yes--and so just recently I started an online MEd program. I don't know what I'll do with it, but at least all of this knowledge I've gained homeschooling will be "official".
keptwoman
I don't think you can take the path of educating your children without education in the larger sense grabbing your attention. Schools fascinate me.
Saille
I've been on both sides of the fence (taught ps and homeschooled), so I'm very interested by all things education.
