Who the heck is resurecting all of the old controversial threads?

Recommended Posts

What's the matter? Don't you have the ingenuity to create your very own? Yes, I am being facetious here but I really am curious. It's a real pain in the butt to wade through 575 responses I have already read when obviously we could just have the same conversations all over again. Who knows, maybe someone will have something new and refreshing to say. Come on people, this is boring. Let's be creative. :D

Well, I had a puppy named "Neener" who died two years ago. Your use of his name so callously is very hurtful and offensive to me.

You know, we have a puppy, and I purposely avoid teaching my children that puppies die.

Your use of the word "died" is very hurtful and offensive to me.

Well, it is important, pie! If you don't know what I think about what you thought when I said that because I didn't tell you then... well you just may go through your entire life never knowing such insanity exists!!

Yeah. I like that I can put people on ignore but I can't filter out threads I don't want to view. Yes, I know I can skip over them and that's what I do. However, it takes time to read through all the titles to find threads I am interested in responding to.

Me? I am utterly indignant that the controversial Vegans/Foodies/Indian cooking experts! thread will not go away. I mean, people. Please.

Sorry, but that thread needs to stay. It looks like a discussion of Indian cookbooks, but it's really an Australian criticism of the US government in typed code to fly under the moderators radar.

Old threads pop up if you search on some term that is of interest to you. I don't see what the problem is. It actually shows some diligence on a person's behalf that they tried to find an answer for whatever question first.

Should everything that anyone wrote in May 09 be considered arcane and irrelevant, whereas the fate of kingdoms rest on what September 09 people think and say now?

I looked up "PMDD" and wanted to know how home remedies and therapies were going for people a year later and revived that thread. I think it is perfectly appropriate to ask a directly related question. Ok, PMDD isn't controversial. So what? What if it were? Either way ... by reading others' thoughts whenever they were written, I gain from the whole forum notion.

I will now post incontroversible, iron-clad evidence.

So there.

And I found it on the internet, so it must be true.

Puppies dying is just a "theory". Another theory is that they live forever and ever and ever and don't get old either (The young-dog theory). We need to teach our kids both theories and let them decide for themselves.

OH yeah? Scripture reference, please.

I'll wait....

Uh huh, just like I thought. They don't die; they cross the rainbow bridge. :tongue_smilie:

Hey, I actually taught my kids all there pets that passed are waiting for them at the rainbow bridge. I hope no one here is being so callous as to saying there is no rainbow bridge and their pets are not waiting for them. :glare:

I see the validity in your young dog theory, after all a dog is perpetually like a two year old, but then so are men , so does this theory cross over into humans? :D

Our puppies never die, they go to live on a farm in the country...oh.wait..we live in a farm in the country...hmmm...maybe they go to live in the city.., yeah, that's it..thats what I'll be telling my kids. But, I have no scripture reference to back it up and I am a maroon about providing links to sources, so I will just post and run..

We don't believe in puppies in our family so I would appreciate it if you would all keep your kids away from mine. I don't want them to be indoctrinated by all this puppy talk.

Well it looks like old thread don't die, but I am undecided on whether or not puppies to. I mean what proof is there? :tongue_smilie:

As for the old threads - there are lots of old thread that are totally irrelevant that could be deleted - I mean let them die in peace! Do they need a DNR? :D
