Heather in VA
My daughter is using Aleks while we wait for LOF's pre-algebra book to come out. She's using the Middle School Math Course 2 and started on 9/14. What I don't understand is why she had another assessment today. How often do they do that? It seemed awfully soon. What does another assessment so soon do? Thanks Heather
AngieW in Texas
My middle dd tried the one month free trial for aleks pre-algebra 2.5 years ago. It did a new assessment every 9-10 days. I thought that was rather frequent. She was doing her 3rd assessment when the trial period ended. My dd didn't like aleks at all. My youngest one is trying it right now. She just started the initial assessment today. She was in tears by the time she had been working for 25 minutes (the amount of time I require her to work on math). I really don't think aleks will work for her, but I wanted to give it a try.
Heather in VA
Well at least I know it's normal. We are on a 30 day trial too. My dd loves it. I can't get her off of it. She just can't wait to fill up her "pies". I don't think I'd use it long term but for the review stuff she's doing, it's working well.
