Pip
I have a copy of Jacobs 2d edition geometry that I got for a couple of dollars. I have noticed that people are strongly divided on which edition is preferred and it all seems to boil down to proofs. Anyone have opinions either way? I believe I have found the TE for this book. Does the 2d edition include solutions? Finally, I am not having luck with finding the tests. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Lori D.
No experience with the 3rd edition, but we very successfully used the 2nd edition, just the student textbook, and only needing the set 2 answers out of back of the text and the rest of the answers out of the teacher book. There are no solutions to any of the Jacobs' books, as far as I know -- just answers. Since many of the answers for the Geometry are to the proofs, you get the solutions for proofs pretty much written out for you in the answers. What about just using the chapter reviews as tests? And, if you need more frequent/more specific quizzes or tests: We did not do every single problem of every single lesson, and that allowed for using the unused problems as more specific/more frequent quizzes or tests as needed. Congrats on your bargain find! Hope it will work well for you. :001_smile: Warmest regards, Lori D.
Pip
Thanks for the info. Do you have the ISBN for the TE? It may make it easier to find.
Lori D.
Thanks for the info. Do you have the ISBN for the TE? It may make it easier to find. I'm having a hard time seeing the ISBN as it is under a price tag that is glued so tightly to the book I'm struggling to peel it up, but it looks like: ISBN 0-7167-1748-4 Here are some: ttp://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=harold+jacobs&sts=t&tn=teacher%27s+guide+to+geometry&x=79&y=5 http://www.cheapesttextbooks.com/price-compare-Teachers-Guide-to-Geometry-Harold-R.-Jacobs-0716717484-9780716717485 http://product.half.ebay.com/_W0QQprZ206523QQcpidZ269627 http://www.homeschoolclassifieds.com/show_search.asp?searchWords=jacobs+geometry
