Organization help, please...

I have my curriculum guides here and ready for the fall, but I'm having trouble deciding how to organize everything. I see workboxes, homemade planners, etc., and I would love to start off on the right foot. I did P4/5 with my oldest last year, so it was really easy with just one since I followed the schedule. Now that I am going to include my youngest, I'm a little stuck.

I ordered the guides from WP, IRL and JOI plus the WP LAs. I don't have all the books yet, but I have gathered the ones for the first couple of months. My youngest is just going to have the guide from JOI and maybe a calendar from www.donnayoung.org included in a binder. I thought I would make a separate binder for my oldest. Should I include the IRL guide with the LA and calendar also? How do you guys organize it? I am going to be using the reading from JOI to complete IRL, so now I'm wondering if that should be included in my oldest's binder also. I don't want to make her binder 5 inches thick. Help!

You'll probably do different things for a while before one way finally clicks with you.

However, for myself, I put everything that was for the teacher in one binder and all the stuff for the child in another. As my dd got older, I then went to different binders for each subject.

Fiddle around with different ways until one feels natural to you. :)

Thanks. You are right, she doesn't need everything in hers, just her sheets and maybe a calendar for fun things that happened that week. I will try it with the guides in my notebook only first. Sometimes it's the little things that overwhelm us. :)
