Lori D.
Do we need a graphing calculator for using the Foerster Alg. 2 and Trig textbook? And if so, which one and where to get one? Thanks so much in advance! Warmest regards, Lori D.
Kendall
We did not use one in his Alg 2. We did only complete the Algebra portions moving to his Trig/PreCalc book for the trig. This was recommended by Foerster to Sharon in MD. We are now in Chapter 9 of PreCalc and I am glad we followed this advice. I think the Precalc book with trig is early enough for the graphing calculator. TI84 Silver plus is what Sharon recommended and what we purchased. I got mine off ebay. Lori D.
Thank you, Kendall! I am trying to finish all my prep for the coming school year and didn't want any "surprise" supply needs to trip me up once we got rolling. :) Warmest regards, Lori
Dana
I haven't checked this out, but I had students tell me they found graphing calculators pretty cheap at a pawn shop in town. Could be worth checking out. I'd also go with the TI-83 or 84, but I'd also avoid using it for as long as possible.
