sixtimemomma
My DS wants to focus on film making or photography however, we live in a rural area and there aren't any schools or classes he can get too. Does anyone have a suggestion on how he can do a class or learn photography or film making?
Capt_Uhura
He could try this website. http://digital-photography-school.com/ there are some good books out there to get him started. What kind of camera is he shooting with? Digital is easiest to learn with b/c you can see the results right away. The entry level digital from Canon and Nikon are getting relatively cheep these days. There are forums at dpreview photography where you can post photos and get critiques. I basically bought a camera, Canon 20D, started shooting. Read the Canon forums at dpreview, looked at others' photos, posted some of my own, looked at galleries (the ones that post the photo specs so you can learn how they got that shot), and then just shoot, shoot, shoot. hth, Capt_Uhura (just lurking on Highschool board)
