Did you put DC test scores on the transcript?

I'm updating DS transcript and presently have his PSAT, SAT and ACT scores on his transcript. It seemed appropriate to have them there when he was applying for a summer institute program (no, he didn't get in ). Now however the transcript I'm putting together is the one that will be sent to colleges in the fall. Shouldn't I take off his SAT, ACT and PSAT scores? Won't these school receive these scores from the College Board? If I'm going to keep his transcript to one page I really need the room to put his AP scores there instead.

Thanks!

What I did --

I have my old transcript from my high school, and I modeled our homeschool transcript after it. My old transcript (except the PSAT which isn't supposed to be a part of college admissions....except for the NMSQT stuff obviously) put all test scores on the back.

So our homeschool transcript just has classes and grades and school / student info on the front, and SAT / AP / SAT2 scores plus a BRIEF listing of extracurriculars and honors and volunteer activities on the back.

I know -- supposedly there is a rule that transcripts must be one page. We decided that if our old high school did it (and a lot of its grads went to elite colleges) then we could do a front-and-back transcript as well.

So much for rules! :D

I would be reluctant to NOT put SAT and AP scores on the transcript. Yes, the admissions folks will double-check the scores, but by having the scores on the transcript all the "vital statistics" are in one place. (And one college did lose a large part of ds's application materials for a while!)

JMHO -- lots of people will do it differently!

Ah, front and back, I like that idea. I have room on the front for the AP scores and can easily move the SAT and ACT scores on the back.

My son is taking the SAT multiple times so should I only list the highest math, highest writing, highest reading score? Or list that he took the SAT, March '09, Oct '09, and all individual scores?

I put the scores on the top of the first page (and it took two pages for four years' worth of courses for us), and only put the most recent (highest) score for SAT and ACT and PSAT on the transcript, as well as Cumulative GPA.

I managed to squeeze in SAT, three SAT subject test, three AP, three National Latin, and one National Greek exam scores; and I was able to keep it to one side of one page. (Admittedly, my daughter did take the SAT only once.)

If you'd like to see a copy, let me know here or send me your email address in a personal message. It's an excel format based on the one that Dori Biggs shared in the Yahoo group files of hs2coll.

I took aspects of the transcripts I could find on line. Dd#1's is front/back one page. The front has vital stats (incl SS #), class/grade/gpa info & signature. The back has PSAT & last (& best) ACT scores, honors, activities, volunteer & work experience.
