Do I need a homeschool/highschool code for the SAT II?

Recommended Posts

Here's the code list:

DS has the School Code blank on his admission ticket too. Does he need one? I know that the kids use the PSAT codes for their AP tests so should we assume that they are the same for the SAT? And, is it needed?

Just wondering too, how many of our kids are taking SAT2 Subject tests on Saturday? Mine is taking Math 2, Chemistry & BiologyM.

The homeschool code for all the SAT tests is 970000. This is national. The PSAT homeschool code is different and is by state. I know when we registered online for our first SAT II and tried to enter 970000, it came up as invalid. We ended up calling the College Board about it and they said yes, 970000 is correct, and they put it in for us. It's been there on ds's account ever since, so we haven't had to try inputting it again. It shows up on the admission ticket as Homeschool Clearing House.

Anyway, I would suggest calling the College Board and checking. They can tell you whether you should just enter it on test day, or, even better, maybe they can put it in for you and email you an updated admiission ticket--one less thing to worry about on test day!

Best of luck to everyone's dc who are taking tests on Saturday! :)
